Deron has been named as one of the top five industrial brokers in the Tampa Bay region 19 times out of the past 23 years, or 90% of the time. The next closest regional division broker placed in the top five only 43% of the time.
Deron was employed at Cushman & Wakefield of Florida from 1994 – 1999 and he originally began his career with Cushman & Wakefield in their St. Louis, Missouri office in 1991. Prior to joining C&W, Deron was Vice President of Cozad Commercial Real Estate in St. Louis, Missouri. He also played four seasons of professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, reaching the Class AA level.
Over the past several years, Deron has been involved in various transactions in the Tampa Bay area representing such firms as American Tool and Mold, BIC, Honeywell, Hunter Douglas, Time Warner, Canteen and L3 Communications.
Deron is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) which is the leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association. SIOR has certified more than 3,400 of its members with the prestigious SIOR designation, a professional symbol of the highest level of knowledge, production and ethics in the real estate industry. Real estate professionals who have earned the SIOR designation are recognized by corporate real estate executives, commercial real estate brokers, agents, lenders and other real estate professionals as the most capable and experienced brokerage practitioners in any market.
Deron has also earned the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Recognized for its preeminence within the industry, the CCIM curriculum represents the core knowledge expected of commercial investment practitioners. The CCIM curriculum comprises financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. Only 6% of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry.
